MESSAGE

Sharing the Spirit of “Aloha” with the World—Through the Magic of the Ukulele

The 3rd International Ukulele Festival of Hawaiʻi will take place at Kapiʻolani Park on the island of Oʻahu.
This beautiful park, nestled on the east side of Waikīkī with a stunning view of Diamond Head, is known as the “sacred home of the ukulele.” It is where Hawaiʻi’s legendary Roy Sakuma hosted his iconic Ukulele Festival for more than 50 years.

With Roy Sakuma’s full support, we proudly carry on his vision—spreading the joy, warmth, and charm of the ukulele to fans around the world.

Here, ukulele lovers gather from Hawaiʻi and far beyond, spanning countries, cultures, and generations. Watching everyone come together—smiling, moving to the rhythm, and feeling the music—is a true expression of peace.

Alongside passionate live performances, the festival features ukulele makers’ booths, delicious local food vendors, and fun attractions for children, making it a beloved, family-friendly celebration for all ages.

Why not treat yourself to the perfect Hawaiian day—enjoying local flavors as beautiful music drifts through the gentle island breeze?

We look forward to welcoming you to the International Ukulele Festival, Hawaiʻi’s largest celebration of the ukulele!

OUR GOAL

About Intenational ʻUkulele Festival of Hawaiʻi

2009, “ʻUkulele Picnic in Hawaiʻi” was launched as a music festival in Hawai’i to promote cultural exchange through music between Hawaiʻi and Japan. As the years passed, the festival has grown to be recognized both domestically and internationally. To commemorate its 15th anniversary in 2024, it was renamed as “International ʻUkulele Festival of Hawaiʻi” and started the new chapter. This festival reflects on two wishes “Become a attractive festival rooted strong with the local community” and “Spread the message of peace from Hawaiʻi to the world”.
